How We Got Here
Golden Floor Prep was founded in 1981 by Rick Harris who was tired of watching coating jobs fail because the prep work wasn't done right. We started with a single grinder, a truck, and a reputation for showing up on time and doing the job correctly.
Over the next decades, we grew into one of the most trusted floor prep and coatings subcontractors on the Colorado Front Range. We've worked on everything from 10,000 sq ft auto shops to 200,000 sq ft distribution centers — and the standard is the same on every job.
Today, Led By Ryan and Lindsey Harris Golden Floor Prep operates a full fleet of surface prep equipment and a team of certified installers. We work exclusively in the commercial and industrial space, which means every crew member understands the pace, the documentation requirements, and the coordination demands of a commercial construction project.
